Hurricane Sandy, The Collaborative Playlist: Let’s Panic Together

As I sit 50 feet from the mandatory evacuation line here in New York City, wondering what to listen to, it occurs to me: Hey, why don’t we do another hurricane playlist, so our readers can listen along and add their own contributions? After all, it was so much fun last time.

Luckily, this is not our first rodeo. To get the list started, I simply grabbed the 231 songs our staff and readers created for Hurricane Irene, on Spotify.

Then, I made the playlist “collaborative,” meaning that you or anyone else can go in there and add songs. To add your own suggestions, simply click here and add songs within your Spotify client.

Happy listening, and remember: If we stop listening to music, the hurricane has already won.

Update: The collaborative playlist below now has less music than it did earlier — for the 335-track version I cached earlier, go here.

Pro tip: If you’re a premium Spotify subscriber, enable this for offline listening on your laptop and/or mobile and tablet so you can still play it when the power to your router goes out.
