As if women (like myself) weren’t envious enough of men’s ability to pee standing up, Billboard Brasil had to add playing the guitar to the mix with Guitar Pee, an electric guitar urinal touring São Paolo’s watering holes.
When we first read about Guitar Pee, we were blown away. The fully functional urinal, conceptualized by Almap BBDO and modeled by Cricket Design, includes all the requisite axe-like features — six strings, a fretboard, and an amp — to shred like a golden guitar god.
When you’re ready to rock, head to the Guitar Pee urinal and aim for the targets on the end of the strings. Each target triggers its own skull-crushing electric guitar sample worthy of inclusion in Dimebag Darrell’s finest solo. Continue thrashing to your bladder’s content.
We were impressed when Nike turned a building into an interactive music app of sorts, but this is arguably more inventive.
And that’s not even the end of it. Flushing generates a code that can be entered on the mobile version of the Guitar Pee website, where you can download an “mpee3″ of your opus. You can also stream other people’s creations on the site.
A word of caution for non-Brazilian guitar whizzes about to burst with excitement: You’ll have to hold it in for now, as there’s no word yet on when these instrumental urinals will emigrate. By the time that happens, they’ll hopefully come up with a female counterpart. After all, we ladies deserve a rockin’ reward for all the time we spend waiting in bathroom lines.
