It’s tax day once again — that joyful, once-a-year occasion when liberal types like the author are asked quite literally to put our money where our mouths are, as folks on the other side of the aisle get to sit around telling us they told us so. We kid. We can still be friends, right?
This year, we can add to the usual tax-day headaches the fact that we’re in an election year; our possibly-rebounding-or-not economy; and the national gas price hovering around four bucks a gallon on average. You’ll be forgiven for having your mind on your money and your money on your mind, so to speak.
With all that in mind, we here at Evolver.fm, who are no strangers to the topical playlist, put together a Songza playlist commemorating tax day 2012. it has songs about paying taxes, songs about not paying taxes, songs about feeling rich, and songs about feeling poor. And if you don’t like one, you can skip it — unlike filing your taxes.
Whether you’re the type to file at the last minute, or if you’re done and just want to gloat smugly at those still scrambling to file their extensions, check out Evolver.fm’s 2012 Tax Day Playlist and enjoy the day, as much as such a thing is possible:
